Laura Morrison: Colorfully Bananas
I fell in love with the mountains and nature pretty early in life. Being born in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, how could you not? Any time I spend outdoors, I'm forever in awe of how truly beautiful nature is. Often stumbling as I look at my surroundings and not so much where I'm going. I can't help but see a painting in everything I look at, I've often stopped what I was doing to look at the way the sun was shining on the snow covered rocks on the mountainside or how the colors shift among the trees and hillsides. My photographs are really just plans and ideas for future paintings.
Though the landscape frequently shows up in my work, I find that even my abstracts or other works still have some kind of connection to nature. All of my work reflects my perspective on this crazy world, from my dream inspired series to the titles of my abstract work. The adventures and experiences of my life fuel my inspiration. My brush is my voice and this is my journey. Art has always been a part of who I am and my goal is to share my love for our universe with as many people as I can.
I appreciate all of my supporters and lovers of art.
